The Upright Approach
Upright's project team managed the complete build working with the architect drawings supplied by Open Plan. Throughout the build, all operatives at the site were verified and established contacts from Upright. In order to incorporate the loft conversion the existing roof of the property was completely removed and a temporary roof installed while the structural work was undertaken, this presented challenges as high winds and poor weather were experienced throughout the build.
Throughout a 20 week period, the property gained 90m² of living space through the addition of a double storey extension and loft conversion across the original and newly added space. UPVC sash windows with a timber look were installed throughout in keeping with the period property. In addition, the home had an auto mist fire suppression system installed instead of sprinklers to protect against fire risk. The newly landscaped garden and driveway provided a usable and secure entertaining and parking area.
